Newbie here

Just wanted to say hi. I am purchasing a '69 Z11 Camaro owner says it's a SS350 even though it has Z28 badges. It was a drag car back in the day. Wondering why it has a 3spd console? I have own a '69 3spd manuel Vette so i guess a '69 Camaro could have one?

Re: Newbie here

Double check whether it is a Z11 or an X11. Z11 would be a Pace Car, X11 could possibly be a SS350 car, although most X11s weren't. Yes, a 69 Camaro could've had a 3 speed manual.

Experience...... It's what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Re: Newbie here

How many fuel lines does the car have? If it's got 2 lines, it came with a Q-Jet carb, and is looking more like it could be an SS. The L65 and LM1 cars also came with a Q-Jet, though, so that isn't a definite answer. How many coils does the hood springs have? The flat hood and cowl hood both came with 26 coils, the SS hood came with 28. Is there a 3"x5" plate welded on the drivers side rear frame rail by the tire (denotes factory dual exhaust)?

Experience...... It's what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
