New guy with a question about a used Camaro

Hi everyone at the forum.

I must admit that i was originally going to purchase a mustang, but my commitment is wavering.

This is the car that I just came across and I am tempted to buy it. Keep in mind that I am 18 without any previous car experience besides a jeep wrangler.

Camaro 1995 v6 automatic, 3.4 liter . Garage kept, pristine condition inside and out.
101k miles on it, with a sick purple and black paint job. Price $2500

Is this as good of a deal as I think it might be?

Also, I heard this car is slow. Now, I am looking for a daily driver and I also want a definition of slow. Slow compared to a Carola v6, or 1998 jeep wrangler, or a 1995 v6 mustang? slow compared to newer v6 non sport cars?

I really just want it to pick up the ladies anyway.

welcome to team camaro
sounds like a good car and cool looks with a car easy on gas prices..
now thats cool for the ladies youll have more money in your pocket to spend on the women..
they have enough power to do the job..not dogs at all but not power houses either..but for the money your on target!

Re: New guy with a question about a used camaro

My son has a similar car, 99 Camaro with a V6. He paid a little more for his. The V6 is fast enough, how fast does it have to be for a daily driver? With gas prices heading up, the economy of the 6 cylinder looks even better. He put a Flowmaster exhaust on it that sounds pretty good, and maybe fools some into thinking it's a V8.

Re: New guy with a question about a used camaro

Welcome Michael.
Sounds like a nice fit for you.Heck the "sick" paint job could be worth $2500 alone.Garage kept and pristine..if it checks out mechanically..good to go imo.
The v6 save you some money when insuring it at 18 yrs old? Most likely. The v6 will provide plenty of power and some good mpg to boot.
Good luck and enjoy the car if you do purchase it.
