New Owner in Arizona

Hello,
I need a lot of help assembling my new 1969 Camaro. I have zero restoration experience and I feel very overwhelmed with all these parts. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

1st - Welcome to Team CAMARO

Next, just take your time and ask questions as needed

You do need to get a few reference books though before you can really understand how your vehicle was assembled originally;
#1 would be the Factory AIM - or Assembly Manual.
It's available at any of the repoppers for a very reasonable price and will surely be 'priceless' in explaining the various parts and options.
#2 would be the Service Manual for your year.
It contains the common service and minor repair instructions issued to the GM Dealer service guys.
There is also a second "Overhaul" manual, but it contains advanced overhaul procedures that you most likely will not find as handy unless you are an accomplished mechanic with a well equiped shop ...

Also get familiar with the 'Search' function on this site - it will help you find past posts by folks going through the same procedures and see all the experienced answers from those that have 'Been-there-done-that'!

Re: New Owner in Arizona

Greetings from Tucson, AZ
Good luck, ask alot of question, and take alot of pictures as you start to take it apart, pictures make great reference tool when you go to put it back togather, and great scrape book when you are done, try to meet some old chevy nuts at car get togathers in your town, I have two friends who we get togather and help with our projects, last night they came over to help me remove power gluide and install Turbo 350 in my 68 Chevelle, before we started I cooked supper for them and then we pulled and replaced trans. we didn't finish, but made good progress. if you look ay my photobucket, there are pictures of my 69 droptop, and few other projects that I've done or helped do! Camaro took about 2 years after sitting for awhile...Jay
