Greetings from Robin Hood Country

Hi,

I'm Alistair from Nottingham in the UK. I'm here because my buddy and I are working on his '69 Camaro which he has just bought.

This thing certainly turns some heads over here!

Its not a real SS, its a 350/TH350 car with factory air but non-power drum brakes.

I just picked it up today.

Plans are to upgrade the car to give it better driving manners on our crowded and poor surfaced roads.

Re: Greetings from Robin Hood Country

The plates are "obscured" - being its not my car and people can get a bit freaky about having them displayed so I usually tweak the photos unless I've checked with the owner.

They do look Saudi or something the way I did it.

There is a black 1st gen, maybe a '68, which I have seen a couple of times locally.

When I was younger you'd see far more American cars on the road. Our high fuel prices have encouraged most of these to be weekend and show cars.

I'm enthusiastic (or stupid?) enough to still want to run a big ol' V8 as my daily driver. You only pass this way the once.
