New member here, my car is a 1969 convertible, looking forward to chatting with other Gen 1 owners and getting the resto on the road.

Re: New member from Texas

Plans are to get it back to it's original color, Lemans Blue with an Ivory interior. Engine is not original, it's been replaced with a 74 4 bolt main 350 out of a C20 truck, at least the bottom end is, original drive train is a 350 2bl as is everything on top of the engine right now. Imediate plan is pull everything off the front steering and suspension and replace. Dave Pozzi's threads have been a big help and parts are flying in.

I bought it 11 years ago running as you see it, drove it off and on for a couple of years and parked it. Back then my son's where 7 and not born yet. Blinked and first thing you know I have an 8 yr old and a 15yr old saying, "hey lets pull out the Camaro and fix her up". Slapped a new battery in it, 5 gal's of hi-test and she fired right up. I've found out that all you have to do to attract every young male in the area is let them hear the rumble of a 350 with straight duals, they come out of the wood work. Before you know it my oldest son and a couple of his buddies are hanging around asking what they can do. I turned them loose with some rags, a hose, cleaners and a vacuum.
