Hello from NV

I have two Camaros and will be seeking information on issues with both of them. One is a 1998, stock - it's not running right now because a year ago my son toasted the engine less than a week after getting his license. He is now in the miltary and we will be looking for tech tips because he wants to fix this one up and use it as his daily driver with some "stealth" type mods.

The other one is a 1994 Z28. Just bought it a few days ago, totally loving it, but it needs help too (not as much as the red one tho).

Looking forward to being able to hopefully get some tips and gain knowlege from this site, and making new friends who are as Camaro crazed as I am wouldn't be a bad thing either!

Re: Hello from NV

Welcome, Teri. Thank you for your sacrifice of family time with your son in the military.

First suggestion is buy a Haynes manual for the model of car. It is loaded with good info and will familiarize you with the car.

The 1994 has a LT-1 engine, Gen II SBC and the 1998 has a LS engine. Two different configurations, not a bad thing. LS engines are a good design.

You'll be gigged for pictures. Just thought I would warn you.

Give a man a rescued dog for the health of both their souls. May 2017 ROTM Winner - Thank you!
