Hello to the Camaro Community

Hi Ya'll,
I'm new to the Camaro Forum.
I have just purchased a 1967 RS/SS Camaro original body and interior.
It was upgraded by the previous owner with a 383 Stroker and Nitrous. He has run it on the strip before, but I want to use it only for the "Street" right now.
He used Valvoline VR Engine Oil 30 Wt., but I would like to use 10W30, does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Po' Boy

Gene, welcome... hop down to ENGINE section and ask your question there where other guys who have had that combo might be able to help you out.

Re: Hello to the Camaro Coumunity

Welcome Gene, you may want to do some homework prior to changing the viscosity of the oil as there are many factors to consider. As Jim has indicated above post the question in the engine section.

Re: Hello to the Camaro Coumunity

Welcome, Gene.
As suggested, if the engine has been broken in using Valvoline, I suggest leave it.

Re: Hello to the Camaro Coumunity

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes.
I appreciate everyone's advise on the oil. So i will stick with the Valvoline VR Racing 30 wt. Just wanted to know if there was anythng out there better to use.
