hello and thanks to everyone in advance for so much info

Just bought a 68 camaro project with an ls1 engine. Not sure if I paid too much but the work the prior owner put into it was very top notch. He posted on here quite a bit.

I dont know if it was wise to buy as it is difficult to follow what anothers plans were. Gotta look at everything and say - what was he doing here, is it complete. is everything tight and correct. In other words I've got my work cut out for me.

I thought I would be able to ask a few questions as I go along but I dont think the seller wants to be bothered.

So forgive me if I ask some dumbass questions. It is just difficult when you arent the one who dismantled it.

Welcome to Team Camaro.

I don't know who the seller was or the circumstances of the sale, but my guess is that any owner who personally worked on the car wouldn't mind responding to a few emails asking questions not easily answered by reference materials (the AIM for instance) or doing a search here or elsewhere. I'm not suggesting daily emails, but gathering a bunch of questions, phrasing them clearly, attaching pictures as needed to clarify what you're talking about, should, I hope, be fine. Most of us who build our cars take pride in what we've done, and love to talk about it.

Otherwise, following the same guidelines here (or at Pro-Touring.com or Lateral-G.net - where there are more LSx conversions than here) will likely get you all the information you may need.

Mike - '68 Camaro - aftermarket or modern pretty much everything.

lets make one thing clear....there are no "dumbass questions" only dumbass people who are to scared to ask anything and and bigger dumbass people who may mock, and odds are they dont know the answer anyway...
Like the sniggers in the back of the classroom from the jocks just to put down some nerd who will be their boss someday cause they did ask.

Make use if the search function above 1st...
gets answers quicker
And whilevreading stuff learn about other stuff at the same time for future reference
And means we dont have to type out the same thing...again and again lol

My Spelling is not incorrect...it is creative

Welcome, Mark.
Correct year.
Ask away. A few people here have done/are doing the conversion now.
You might want to hang a window shade onto the garage door to the house for recording your ideas, part numbers, wiring, etc. for later reference. Comes in mighty handy.
