another new guy

hi guys. I'm Don. Have a '69 base model. Needs just about everything. bought about 8 yrs ago as a project to do with my son Travis--- who is now 16 1/2. Have been picking up parts and components here and there...(454 block w/heads, Muncie m21, 10 bolt posi) to name a few. Well now he is itching to move on the resto. Have the car stripped and frame out. Want a clean, fast driver not a show car. I've been reading here and there over the years, and you guys are great1 lots of useful info. Just joined, and have lots of questions... Glad to be aboard. BTW... my last experience with any type of performance cars was my '74 which I sold in '88. Lots to learn/recall.

Re: another new guy

Some assembly required. Nice project.
Is the shifter a Hurst Vertical gate?
Haven't seen one of those in ages.

Re: another new guy

Thanks Everett. Actually I do have a question. Not sure where to properly post it...possibly Tech? Car has subframe bolts broken off at firewall mounts. Threaded ends are still rusted inside captive nuts. These nuts are floating under welded-in brackets. Any ideas to remove? No real access room to work.
