New guy from Medaryville, Indiana

I just bought a 68 Camaro, 67K miles. California born and driven until 5 years ago. really solid except for some rust behind rear wheels and in the back window area under the vinyl top. Also surface rust by rear deck inside and the rounded trim piece along each side of the bottom the roof sails. I havn't seen this part sold so far but still looking , need actual term maybe???
Thanks guys,
Leonard

Welcome to the Club, Leonard
Reads like a nice Camaro, correct year also!

And you probably won't find the patch your looking, the lower portion of the sail panel is always attached to the rest of a full quarter panel.
A body shop, or sheetmetal shop with an English wheel, might be able to form you a couple patch panels.

Re: New guy from Medaryville, Indiana

The part I'm looking for is inside the car at the rear window, it rests on the cardboard deck, it is in 3 pieces I think, the back one is about 3' long (I have this one) then there are 2 more I think , that wrap around each corner one on each side. I think they are trim or moulding pieces??????????? I could be wrong.........

Re: New guy from Medaryville, Indiana

I'm not sure, they are missing. Yes I believe they are the corner peices on the package tray. I was calling it the rear deck.
I am looking for a pair ifanyone knows where to get them.,
