Proud new owner of a 69

Hello all,

This weekend I brought home a 1969 Camaro Z28 clone. I have wanted a 1st gen camaro since I was just a young kid. Must have been in 67 or 68 and I was ~10 years old. Been dreaming about owning one since then but it just never happened until now.

This car is a Z28 clone, Infernal Orange, 4 speed manual, mildly built 350. It has manual drum brakes and I'd like to consider upgrade to disk brakes all the way around.

AC car and still has the compressor in it but not hooked up. Car is in very good condition, got a list of minor issues I need to track down and resolve but overall it is a great car.

I am waiting on my new wheels and tires to arrive, staggered 17" Ridley chrome 675s. Right now it has a borrowed pair of dusty 17" Cragars and old tires that are cracked and messy. Just needed them to get her home.

Anyway performed my first work on it last night, added the front spoiler (and after reading the threads I realize it is easily broken off).

My plan is to drive this car and enjoy it, might attend a few shows but I'm more into driving it.

I enclosed a couple of pictures, one I took at a stop on the way home, the other is the car when it had Boss 304s on it. I decided not to take those and the seller was happy to keep them.

I'm looking forward to reading through as many topic posts as I can to get myself up-to-speed on these cars.

Randy

Welcome, Randy.
Congrats on the new ride, and I cannot think of a better ROI (Return On Investment) than driving the snot out of it.
