Hello from Illinois
Greetings all. I'm a long time 69 owner from the Metro St. Louis area. I started utilizing the forums when I resurrected an old motorcycle from the dead and found the information and friendships to be priceless.
I bought my 69 when I was 15 in 1990. It was almost worn out and the '77 305 that was in it was on it's last leg. Over the years, I've managed to put a '69 350 in it mated with a Saginaw 4-speed and got the car looking pretty good including a factory 4-speed console. It is now a car that I can enjoy with my family. My two young boys love going out in it. I have so much love, blood, sweat, and tears invested in this car that I could absolutely never part with it.
My father had purchased a '69 SS396 4-speed convertible fresh off the showroom floor when he left the navy in 1970. He wishes he still has his and I never want to regret letting go of mine.
I hope to make some new friends here and will contribute as much as I can with information.
I'm currently working through an issue that has me absolutely stumped. I posted in the electrical section.
