Another new guy

Hello all. New to the forum but not new to the scene. Been a huge fan of camaros and lots of other classics but am getting ready to buy my first 69. Nothing special...just original which is the way I like it. Original 327 4 spd car. No rust but plenty of age. Only thing that's missing is the console and I don't even know how hard that will be to source. Anyway lookin fwd to stalking the archives and gettin all learned up on the details of these rides. Thanks in advance for the help I will def be asking for. What are your thoughts on a garden variety 69? No ac no ps no pb. Here's a link to the ad.

Good deal or not so much....

Cheers

Cool Re: Another new guy

1st - Welcome to Team CAMARO

Next ...
Not sure what a "muncie 220" is
But if the vehicle checks out as being as 'rust free' as represented then I would imagine it is worth he asking.
Be sure to look very carefully at the rear drop-offs, sills and inner fender areas for signs of repair or deterioration
AND - do be sure to check VIN(s) and Cowl for signs of tampering and/or changes!
Tons of information can be found here - http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#PartialVIN

From the looks of the rims and other items, I would imagine it's been around and 'restified' a few times over the years.
Check for addition of service and other parts to keep it going that will need to be replaced/upgraded to get it looking closer to as assembled or desired.
Those may be valid items to negotiate pricing from ...

Re: Another new guy

Thanks for the warm welcome. It seems like I am poised for a fair deal on a 69. Thanks for the advice on what to look for. Assuming it is what it's supposed to be, y'all will be seeing more of it In the near future...taking the trailer up there this wknd!

Welcome Brandon! Did you get it home this weekend? Try to post a few pics of the car once you get it home...
