New Member from Switzerland

Hy, I'm new here, but i already know the forum for a while and I found also a lot of informations, which I was searching for...
I rebuild a 68' Camaro who was made in Switzerland in Biel.
I bought the Camaro in dec 2009 but I start rebuild them in 2011...
Now the body and paintwork are finished and I can start to assemble this dreamcar!
The first time I saw the Camaro (Dec 2009):

Welcome, Chris - looks like a nice project! Not familiar with Swiss-built Camaros, have you been able to decode the vin and trim tag?

Re: New Member from Switzerland

Thanks! I think the swiss built Camaros are very similar, some steering parts like tie-rod assembly was smaller/different then US-Verison, but i upgraded it to US Version with parts from Rick's Camaros...
I checked the VIN code and I was able to decode it, but wat is the trim tag?

Re: New Member from Switzerland

Welcome Chris

The Trim Tag, or Cowl Tag, is on the firewall just above the brake master cylinder\booster.
It would be great if you could post pictures of it.

Sorry it wasn't the VIN of my Camaro, that I decode, it was the one of my Van...
I don't found much information with the plate of my Camaro.
Here is a pic of it:

Welcome, Chris. Nice paint.
As said, correct year It looks like you are coming along nicely on your journey.
Where was the tag you displayed mounted on the body?
You can look at ebay and see where US trim tags are mounted, next to the brake master cylinder.

I don't know where it was mounted, because it was already away when I bought the camaro. But I think it should be at the same place like US version... Otherwise I have to find the two holes for that on the body!
