68 rs

Not new to the camaro world. I've had mine since I was 17, that was the very early 80's. I've been reading here for some time, and my first post today. From my time here I realized how much I've forgotten over the years. After reading about the restorations and how long some of you guys have had these cars, I don't feel so bad, mine has slept in the garage for a long time before I got back to her. Life gets busy and I have two other hobbies that take my money as well.

I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and would like a couple of you guys that are local to come by and take a look at her and give me some advise. She's a very old school car, four speed and spent alot of time on the strip before I bought her. Compared to what I've seen you guys restore, mine looks like it came off the show room floor . You guys do outstanding work, mine needs some too.

When it comes to picks of her, I don't know if I need an outside account like photobucket or some such. I bought her no motor, no trans, but she still had the 5.38 gear in the 12 bolt. I put a 327 in it then with a Muncie. I look forward to sharing pics of her later.

Regards, Steve.

Re: 68 rs

Not sure if you need an outside acct to post pics, but it is a pretty easy process if using photobucket.

Good luck with the project!

Re: 68 rs

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I've enjoyed reading here for the last few months. I've got an iPhone pic from over the summer that I'll see if I can attach.

Regards, Steve.

Photobucket loads too slowly. Try www.imgur.com. You'll have to save the link, however, and it can be a pain to add to an album but it does load up much faster.

Yes, I do, just personal preference, and if I didn't do it, other members would.

Let me pull out my OFC's card and get us two rounds of ice cream.

Re: 68 rs

I want to start by saying you guys and gals have spectacular cars. I wish I was as gifted as some of you are with body work. I"ll start a thread in the spring when I get my car out of the garage. It's a one car garage and not alot of room. Who needs Ford 351 Cleveland I took in trade with a bunch of camaro parts that's taking up space in my garage?

When I start my thread in the spring, I'll post some more pics of her and be asking for more advice. I appreciate the fact that you guys do that for the newbies, and some of us guys that took 15 years off and walked down another path and have forgotten a bunch.

Thanks, Steve.
