Hello from South Carolina!

My name is Craig and I'm a Camaroholic! Guess this is my first of the twelve steps...!

I own a 68 SS/RS numbers matching 350/295, 4 speed, in red. The repaint in 2008 still looks new and really the only major changes in the car is the hood and stripes. I have the orginal hood and maybe, just maybe put it back on one day. The rest of my car, is as it left the factory.... i.e. console gauges, Tic Toc Tach, deluxe seats, wood steering wheel, Tilt wheel, PS, PB etc....

The engine while rebuilt to factory specs however, it does have a 350/350hp camshaft for a little chop at idle. True dual exhaust but no free flowing exhaust, just a pair of turbo mufflers that I had bought back in 82 for a '69 Camaro I restored. I had them but never used them until now. Actually I think they were named the "California Turbo" muffler. Has a nice rumble that enhances that mild chop!

Glad to be part of your community and I'll get some pictures posted in the next few days.

Re: Hello from South Carolina!

I had been looking at pictures of some fine 69 Camaros on this forum so I guess I got distracted.... Ha. Not sure why, but keep saying that to my wife, I guess I owned my 69 for so long it has become a habit! I apologized to the 68 this morning before I turned the key!

Re: Hello from South Carolina!

Thanks for the welcome mat guys.... I have a couple things I plan on doing to my "SIXTY EIGHT" in the next few weeks. First up is a Vintage A/C system, then 1.5" lower front springs and 1.5" lower rear leafs. I have been debating with myself over these because other than the paint, hood, and air breather, my car is pretty much as it was when it left the factory.
