Hello Everyone,

I am here reading as much as I can as I am in the process of buying a 1968 convertible Camaro. I hope to ask for some advice in the near future. For now I would like to post some info on the car I am looking to buy.

1968 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

- 454 4 bolt mains .030 over, block decked, align honed, tanked and all burs removed
- 7/16 Eagle connecting Rods rated to hold 800hp
- Speed Pro Forged Pistons with teflon coated skirts and moly rings (10.4:1 compression ratio with 118cc open chamber heads)
-High volume oil pump with matching pick up
- Milodon stock replacement oil pan
-Balanced rotating assembly (crankshaft, rods, Pistons, damper and flywheel
- GM Iron rectangular port open chamber cylinder heads, CNC ported and polished by Mercury Marine
- 2.25 intake valves with reduced stem diameter for higher airflow rate
- Valve springs for hydraulic roller cam / matching retainers and valve locks
- Comp Cams hydraulic roller camshaft (advanced 4 degrees at crankshaft)
- Double roller timing chain with cam button bearing and torrington thrust bearing for correct camshaft endplay
- Comp Cams 3/8 push rods rated for hydraulic roller cam
- Comp Cams Pro Magnum Roller Rockers
- Factory cast iron exhaust manifolds
- Single muffler is two pipes in- two pipes out. Believe it or not this is COPO exhaust from the factory
- 540 horsepower sounds mean even through this stock exhaust
- Heat riser installed with no butterfly (used as a spacer for correct exhaust distance)
- MSD Distributor and MSD 6AL Ignition Box with canister type Blaster Ignition Coil.
- Holley 4779-9 750CFM Double Pumper Carburetor with proper factory GM fuel line and Y-Block
- 14 inch proper factory high performance air cleaner
- Rebuilt power steering pump and steering box
- Big block sway bay, BB coil springs
- New upper and lower control arms with new control arm bushings and ball joints
- New inner and outer tie rods
- All new sub-frame body mounts
- all new fuel lines and fuel tank and sending unit
-All new brake lines, front disc brakes, master cylinder, spindles, calipers, brake cylinders, rotors and drums
- New multi leaf springs in rear
- New Moser Engineering reproduction 12 bolt posi trac rear end with 3.42:1 gear ratio, Yukon rear axles
- All floor metal new stampings
- Both rocker panels new complete units
- quarters, doors, fenders, hood, rear panel, inner wheel houses, all new panels, no filler
- media blasted body before panels installed
- all chrome re-plated and or
- original side glass, new front glass
- new manual top, top frame completely disassembled, sandblasted and re assembled.

- have Boot cover brand new in box with all new clips
- New complete interior, rug, panels etc...
- new door handles, winders etc
- New chrome, bumpers, hood stacks outer door handles, everything
- New grill assembly, lights, marker lenses, chrome bezels, emblems
- New BFG tires, Chevrolet Rally rims (including spare in trunk
- restored original trunk jack
- - 621 belhousing with new fork
- Sony AM/FM mp3 player in glove box
- Original 1968 Camaro GM AM radio in dash
- Aftermarket Tach and guages
- Hurst 4 speed shifter
- GM rosewood steering wheel
- rebuilt steering column (new bearings)
- new 1968 GM correct small size keys, one key fits all doors, glove box, trunks and ignition cylinder.
- All new key barrels
- Big block heater core and heater box

- full restoration every nut and bolt
- Lemans blue exterior / black top / black interior

Looks like ya got real turnkey unit there...just fill her up and take off.

Orig from that area...now fish L. Erie, eh? Check out the Kenora car show they have in the bay once a year.

Heard the mosquitos gave you a hard time this past summer?
