New to this site.

Hi everyone. I just got my 69 Camaro Z11 restored, and needed a carburetor, and bought one off of your club member. My other carb. was leaking, and the more they worked on it the worst it got. It was the only part on the car that wasn't numbers matching anyway. So I guess no big loss, but I still would not throw it away, until I find that I can't fix it.
This camaro was done in 1982, and my neighbor parked it in his garage until I bought it. 29 years he never even opened the door, or turned the motor over. It took 5 hrs to get the motor running, and it never smoked.Glad to be on this site.

Re: New to this site.

Thanks everyone for the replys. How do you post pictures on here from my pictures. I have the pictures, but still don't know how to move from mine to this page. My neighbor saw my car when they brought it home in Dec 2012. He owned the car since 1979, and I bought it off of him in Oct 2010. I talked to him on the phone, and all he could say was that it was put together real nice, and had a great paint job.

Re: New to this site.

Hi everyone, I bought a carburetor last week to put on my 69 Z11 Pace Car. I bought it a little over 2 1/2 years ago, and just got it home from being restored. My old carb got messed up being rebuilt, and the last owner told me it wasn't original. My car was built the last week of Feb 1969. My carb I bought is a 29202 DH 0169. My prtecto-plate is TO228HB, and my motor is TO228HB. It has numbers for a 69 block on the back side GM 3982388, but shouldn't I have more numbers on the right front of the engine block. The transmission # is 19N610121. The last serial numbers on my Vin is 610121. Car has set in a heated garage since 1982 covered, and had 800 miles put on it before parking it on jackstands. The motor had not been turned over since 1982. It took me 5 hours to get it started, and it never smoked , but hickory nuts came flying out of the tail pipes from chipmucks, and mice making there home in the exhaust system. Still need to buy new tires, and I still have the original spare. I'm in florida, and if I can show pictures I will. The car is in Indiana stored. Thanks for any help I can get.
