Smile New guy from CT

Hello everyone!
First time posting but not new to the forum...been lurking for quite some time now. I have learned so much from here. I have been doing my home work and preparing for the 68 build I am planning. It has been my dream to have a first gen and doing a frame off resto...reading the build threads has given me the confidence to do it. Thanks for the awesome forums!!

Welcome, Greg.
Correct year ansd looks to be a good project, especially for CT.
I see the header has been filled in and repainted as no Camaro emblem nor holes, not a biggy.
Make a logbook and take plenty of pictures for future reference, you can't remember them all later in life.

Hey there fellow Nutmeg-er. Nice project. What are your plans - restoration or Mod?

Yeah I like the year too...built same month and year I was born...thought that was pretty cool!
Yeah the car has had some work done to it and some of it is a hack job...but that is all going to change!

Hey, someone in my back yard...I plan on doing frame off but think I might do some mods to the interior.

Thanks for the welcome! I am not 100% sure what I want to do with the car as of yet...I have some ideas still trying to decide before I start...that might help..heh heh. Previous owner put in a 305 and had some work done to it but other than that I really dont no know much more about the engine.

Welcome Greg to build world. Teal Blue, nice colour. Car looks like a solid candidate. What I did was pick a car that was already done the way I wanted mine to look and then used it as a project guide, then dug up all the pictures I could to help keep me on track. You have come to the right place. If you can't build it here, you can't build it anywhere.

Start spreading the news...

Welcome to the site.
Plenty of good advice here....

I'm ready for paint on mine after me doing bodywork on it two years. Changed paths a few times too. PLAN what you want to do, we're here to help. I'd try to get it running so you can ENJOY the car, just not tear into it. Build some memories, helps with long term enthusiasm

Thanks George...the car does run and is drivable. I have had it for a good many years but you know how its one of those things that you will get to it someday...well too many "somedays" came and went and its time do do something!
