From Northern California

Hi all. Not currently a Camaro owner, but my Camero owning friends let me run with them for "Comic Relief".

The ride is a scratch built 1923 Track-T weighing 1790 lbs. Running a Dart block, Scott Shafiroff built 427 sbc, Tremec TKO 600 5 speed, Jag IRS 3.54 and 31" tires. Mounted engine and transmission so low in the frame rails that CG is at or below spindle height. This ride has been roaming the streets for the last 20 years with (3) different engines and a Muncie M21 before the Tremec.

Very cool. As a long time “T Guy” did you know Norm Grabowski? Before he passed away he had started a track roadster project with a Quad Four engine. He really wanted to have that car on the road.

Yes, good eye, the 2nd and 3rd pictures were in Yosemite, along with this one heading into the Valley.

We missed that one. Norm always told me that I spend too much time on Camaros. He wanted me to work on other projects (including a few more of his). I told him that he likes the stuff from when he was kid the best and I like the stuff from when I was a kid the best.

I just noticed your location. I was back last year (2012) for both the Bash and the T-bucket Nats in Chattanooga. This year the Nats are in my back yard, Carson City, Nevada, so no long drive to the midwest.

They won't be laughing long, or letting you run with them, if you keep spelling 'CAMARO' with an "E"

Nice 'T', love the nose

I need to put a bulge in the hood to clear the new engine like I did on the side covers to clear the Ram's Horn exhaust manifold. I also want outside cooler denser air for the intake and will have a sheetmetal guy fab a dual plenum manifold for the top of the carb for two flat panel air filters that when the hood is closed will seal against the underneath of the hood in line with the louvers. I like the side covers and hood because at car events it is fun to hear spectators tell each other "It must be a Pinto 2.3 L", since by outward appearance, it looks like only a four banger could fit.

Your right, they would nail me on the mis spelling.
