Starting a New Project 1969 Camaro (Photo)

I have been here many times, but just joined. I am starting another project and thought hey I'll join up. This car will have the 572 crate motor and use tubular a-arms and mini-tubs, but not a pro-touring style.

Very nice...make sure you have clearance between the headers and the steering box!

Nice start for a new project, are ya going for a 4-link rear suspension,or leafs? So i take it your going for the "Resto-mod" look as opposed to the Pro-touring look?I'm with ya on that one.The resto mod look looks much better IMHO.

Ditto.
If you are keeping the original steering box, you are probably going to need custom made headers.

Going with a Currie rear narrowed 1/2" each side and yes a 4-link. Using tubular a-arms in front and yes a Pro-Mod style. I have built a few Pro-touring cars and love the handling, but kinda feel like everything is Pro-Touring with LS motor. I feel it is time to shake things up with a street machine that has modern technology but huge motor.

Considering shorty headers for clearance not sure yet?
