New to the Camaro world

Hello all, About 10 years ago I noticed a 1969 coupe sitting in a field next to a house. It looked complete and straight with no rust visible. So I go to the house and inquire about the car. The lady I talked to was the original owner and had plans to get the car on the road again. Well as the years go by and the car just sat there I would stop in and renew my offer to buy the car but it was always the same answer "I think it just needs a new battery." Since I retired last year I haven't been by the area in awhile, my wife thought we should go by and see if the Camaro was still there. It was and I had a new weapon with me, my wife. I thought maybe some female to female interaction was needed. Long story short, we brought the Camaro home yesterday. It's a plain jane 307, but it does have air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. I'm not sure what I want this project to end up, but I'm leaning towards a Z28 clone. I've had 8 Corvettes but never a Camaro and I'm looking forward to doing this car.

Probably my last car I'll ever build, so I'm going to make it a good one

Oh, a "Z" clown - you sure don't see one of those everyday
With you living in CA, and with the warmer weather in places you'll want to cruise, I might suggest you create an SS clone instead
That way you can keep those original options (including A/C) and not have them look completely out of place

'Z' clowns are a dime-a-dozen at any car show
I walk by 90% of them immediately, but always stop to admire a nice SS - clone or not ...
There's just so many ways to build a nice SS and lots of choices to make with drivetrains, options, stripes and other items
To say nothing of the drivability of a 350(+) vs. a 302 in everyday cruising ...

As always JMHOs
