New guy saying hello.

Name is Erik.
Always wanted a 1969 Camaro and never had the money or could find a deal on one until last month. I picked up a 1969 Camaro in POOR shape. Will be starting a full restoration and posting my progress. Will wait to start a thread until I can get some body panels ordered. I have many pics already and very excited on my build. Thank you all and oh yeah HELLO.

Re: New guy saying hello.

Sorry about the pics. Here they are.

I have been cruising around this site and there is a ton of info that will be a big help when the time comes. I do work at a shop where we deal with corvettes. From frame off resto, maintance, to performance work.

Re: New guy saying hello.

WOW Now that is a project but honestly from those pics it does not appear to have a major amount of cancer. Thinking the floor pans will be needing replacment though.

So what is the plan? Back to a stock appearing 69 or a day tow type car or maybe a hot rod drag or pro touring style?

Re: New guy saying hello.

The pics make it look like its not in bad shape but it is. The left side rear frame rail is rotted right off the trunk. The rocker panels don't even connect to the quarter panels. The floor is gone, trunk is gone. Only thing that seems to be ok so far is the roof and front pillers and back seat supports.
