New Member, new 1969 Camaro Z/28 owner

Hello folks. Just bought my dream car, a real X77D80 1969 Z/28 Camaro. She is like the day she was born, Lemans Blue with white stripes, standard black bucket seats with console and gauges, period correct 302DZ made before the car. Not 100% sure its original but it could be. Muncie M21, Hurst shifter, 12 bolt positraction 3:73 gear rear end. Very nice condition. Purchased from Hendrick Performance. Its a great looking car. Not perfect but pretty darn close. Not a frame off but lots has been done to her. Minimal rust issues. Got a few things to get done. First thing is to replace the rear leafs. It sags a bit. Ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: New Member, new 1969 Camaro Z/28 owner

Hi Jeff,

Welcome to Team Camaro and congratulations on finding and purchasing such a nice 69 Camaro (my favorite year). I purchased my most recent 69 about a year and a half ago and replaced both the front and rear springs (front had 2" lowered springs which had to go). For the new rear leafs, I went with a set from National Parts Depot, part#C-7503-21 - Eaton 1969 Z/28 4-leaf spring 103 lbs rate including installed rubber front eye bushings. They were $132.50 each when I purchased but when I just verified the link, I noticed they've gone up $4.00 per spring since then but still a good price.
