New with an '86

Hey guys and gals. Just joined and am somewhat green to the camaro world. Always wanted an iroc-z since I was 15 and with a learner a permit and now at 27, I ****in got one! The car I have is an 86 with a 305. Can't remember the code but when I checked it out, it's the one with 155Hp. It drives really tight. What I'm looking to do is swap the engine and trans., redo the interior to a charcoal or possibly even a tan colour. Exhaust, headers, guages, and finally paint at the end which will probably be the royal blue or maybe a midnight blue. I think tan interior would look really good with blue. Anyways, I'm hoping to get new motor and tranny before the snow flys this year. Thinking of 350 SB. But I will stop here, just wanted to introduce myself.

While there are several knowledgeable 3rd gen guys here that could answer any questions you might have your best best is TGO (Third Gen . Org). I'm a member there myself as I used to have a 89 RS.

And yes, tan goes well with dark blue. My 2002 Z28 daily driver is NBM with Tan interior.

Lots of good stuff on that site devoted to 3rd gens.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not running you off as I encourage participation by all generations of Camaro's and that's why we have a section devoted to various generations.

Happy motoring and welcome to Team Camaro!
