Just looking to trace Vin Number or codes to find out what was in the car originally.

1969 04A Van Nuys-built Z/28. Cortez Silver with dark blue interior and VE3. Sold Clippinger Chevrolet. Raced at Lions in LA.

Welcome, Todd. Plenty of help to be had here. I guess the first place to start is with the VIN. That will tell us where the car was built, whether it was originally a L6 or V8, and approximately when it was built. A picture of the trim tag will help, too.
