New member from Seattle area.

Hi, just joined the team Camaro forum.

Recently picked up a 1972 Camaro. It is setup for pro-street. Needs some TLC as well as attention on doing things the NHRA way.

Mark IV 454 bored to 496, stroker with a 871 blower. 2Sp powerglide. Those are the short specs.

Looking forward to being able to find some much needed info here on this setup. This is the first blower motor for me. I am used to BBC (my first car was a 1969 SS 396 and I learned off of that in the70s) but it's been a while. Lately I've been doing 1000HP V6 turbo drag race build/s. So this is a welcome step back to the BB.

I am in the Seattle area. I am a retired firefighter.

Re: New member from Seattle area.

Welcome Craig! I'm in the Seattle area as well, over by Snohomish.
There are some pretty smart guys on here that will be able to help you out with your car, look up a guy on here by the name of Royce, he goes by Camaroman7d on the board, has had a few blower cars and is a good guy.

I'm a drag racer as well, spent some time up at Pacific/SIR myself. I work on a Outlaw 10.5 car and do some weekend warrior racing with my Camaro but it's a cruiser first. Been away from racing though for a few years, work etc. has been taking up my time it seems.

Enjoy the site.

Re: New member from Seattle area.

Thanks for the welcome.

Here are some pics that came with the car. I've not had a chance to come up with any new ones myself as of yet.
