New Member Hello and Question

Hi all, new member here. I have a 2013 Camaro 2Dr Coupe LT I have never taken it through an automatic car wash. Only hand car wash. The car is well cared for and even covered when it snows. Today, after having it washed, it was pointed out to me that the weather stripping or whatever it is called that is located on both sides of the roof and runs from front to back is broken with actual pieces of it missing. They are not connected to the doors in any way. First, what are these pieces actually called and has anyone else had any issues with this? This has to be a defect. Appt. with Chevy dealer next Sat.

Re: New Member Hello and Question

Welcome, Sharon.
Congrats on the new Camaro.

Maybe a picture of the weatherstripping you're asking about would help.

This is a common piece in modern cars, it's the roof seam trim and any GM/Chevrolet dealership should be able to resolve the problem of the trim coming loose. Usually it requires being replaced.

Dennis thank you for your reply. I'm glad I know what to call it now...roof seam trim. I don't understand why this happened. The car is only 1.5 years old. Disappointing to say the least. Thanks again for your help!
