Welcome to the team! I'm not exactly Chicago, but I'm in there three or more time a month, mostly the south side.

That's awesome. Where did you pick it up? I'm in Peoria with a 67 convertible. Sweet ride.

thanks! i found it in iowa at a classic/muscle car dealer. unfortunately, the owner lost the car in a divorce... his wife sold it to them, and i ended up with it.

any pictures posted of your 67? (i'll look now anyway)

Glad you were able to get it. Was it American Dream Machines in Des Moines? They have a lot of chevy stuff, but seem a little pricey.

Here is one pic. I am removing the 14" wheels and putting on 17" Foose Knuckles to fit the Baer disc brakes I have going all around. Eventually going to repaint, black w/ white stripes.
Did you have to do much work to yours?

Re: New member from Chicago

@ breck: good call! it was ADM in des moines. i ended up negotiating a really decent price for mine, all said and done. it didn't ''need'' anything done to it, but, i've added console gauges, replaced the grant steering wheel with a deluxe stock wheel, and bought new wheels (just got them yesterday!) - 18'' chrome ridlers. i'm jealous of the baer's too.. upgrading the brakes are in my future plans - 4 corner drums =/

nice looking ride as well! can't wait to see the new wheels to show off your stoppers.

while i was in the dash, i fixed a handful of electrical things - random interior lights, speed warning, etc. that weren't done when the car was restored before. so, i've done work, but, mostly maintenance and clean up.....

to everett, exactly! when i saw her, i knew!!
