Greetings from Germany

Hi everyone!
I live in Germany and I'm a huge Camaro fan since I was a kid. My father had '71 SS and my mother had a '69 RS SS once back in the eighties. Both cars are long gone, but since april this year I finally fulfilled my dream and got my own '69 Camaro.
It's an original RS from Arizona where it has gone through a sort of "restomod" restoration. Stuff like a new black paintjob, cleaned emblemes, an overhauled 350 and 17" TTs. Most is still quite original, though.
'69 Camaros are rather rare in Germany, especially RS ones. Everyone and their mothers drive Mustangs around here .

There are still some minor things to do on the car, so I'm looking forward to some advice and opinions from you guys in the tech forums.
Keep on rollin'!

Hi Brian, your pace car looks great too!
In the near future I plan a disc brake convertion - right now she has drum brakes all around and no power brakes. So yeah, braking ain't that great at the moment...
I also plan to install a stainless steel exhaust system at some point.
Maybe lower the car a bit.
Put a retrosound stereo in it (has no stereo whatsoever right now - although the best music comes from under the hood ).
And replace some of the older / worn parts in the interior.

Welcome Moritz, your Camaro has a great stance. Have you been on the Autobahn with it yet? Looks like your Camaro is made for it. Been back and forth from Ramstien AB to Rhine-Main AB a load of times in the early 80's. What a road.

Re: Greetings from Germany

Moritz, your Camaro looks sweet! The trunk lid/spoiler looks different, or is it the color/angle? Its a nice change if its not just an optical illusion Cheers, Fred

Southern Germany, near Stuttgart. Not really next to Leipzig, but "Viele Gruesse!" to your family!

Been on the autobahn, but only cruised at around 80 mph. I should get me some better brakes before I go any faster .
Right now I prefer driving on the "landstrasse" which are smaller, more curvy roads through forests and along fields.

Sorry to disappoint you, but is in fact an optical illusion . Now that you mention it I can see it too. But my car has no spoiler what so ever. I went for a simple, COPO-like look (except for the wheels).
