I'm back.

I was on here about eleven years ago when I was building a '67 RS with a PT direction, and the info here was awesome. I honestly cannot recall the user name I had at the time, but I searched daily for two years and only stopped when I was in the position of needing to sell the car (sad day). I have been in touch with the current owner of my old car for about two years now and he keeps saying how good of a job I did building it... Anyway, I am thinking I may have found another project, going to look at it tomorrow and may just drag it home. Looking forward to getting up to speed on what's available/best set-ups, etc.

Re: I'm back.

Thanks! I finally got down to look at the '68 and I'm trying to decide if I want to deal with that much rust... floor pan, trunk pan, trunk lid, rear window channel, and the surface rust throughout the trunk, etc. I'm wondering what it looks like under the rest of it.

Re: I'm back.

The car I'm looking at is a '68 with a 10 bolt in it, mono leafs, has a cowl hood, has a 67 grill on it, 16" torque thrust wheels with new tires, drum brakes, dual fans, manual steering box, and appears to have been a manual car originally...but the floor pan is fred flintstone, the trunk has pinholes and pretty heavy surface rust all over, the subframe looks ok but it has undercoating on it so a little hard to be sure. There is rust on the roof edges, rear window cowl, hood edges, etc. It came from Washington state last but who knows before that. I'm trying to get an idea what it would take to get the rust gone and take it from there.
