camaro69 radio

have a 69 ss Camaro original putting a 70 chevelle radio in original fit fine but need help wiring has the original harness black yellow grey wires for power and black and green for speakers could someone tell how to hook up the black yellow grey wirers is black live or the yellow where does the grey wire go thanks

Black is ground, yellow is power from the fuse panel. Not sure of the gray.

Check to see if there is a light for your heater control panel not plugged in. It may be what that grey wire is. The radio in my Z was MIA when I got it so I stuffed a 70 radio in to fill the hole and those have internal lighting as does the 69 radio's so it's not for that.

I believe the gray wire is for dash lighting... this allows the radio light to dim with the other dash lights.
