Hello Everyone

First time user so bear with me. I thought I knew all about 67-68 Camaros but have a question. I see some 68 Camaros without running lights on front and back fenders. Which are they on and not on? Thanks TexasRH

Re: Hello Everyone

That would mean its a '67, not a '68, unless it's been modified from stock, as '68's have front and rear markers.

67 Black RS Coupe, 383, M21 & 10 Bolt Posi. Edelbrock E-Tech 170 Heads, 2204 Roller Cam, Air Gap Intake.

Re: Hello Everyone

My research said it started in 68 but I have seen several 68s without them. Here is what I found.
"The styling of the 1968 Camaro was very similar to the 1967 design. With the introduction of Astro Ventilation, a fresh-air-inlet system, the side vent windows were deleted. Side marker lights were added on the front and rear fenders which was a government requirement for all 68 vehicles"

Re: Hello Everyone

Welcome, Richard, glad you joined.
Side markers were Federally mandated in 1968.

If a '68 doesn't have them, this means the hole was not cut for the sidemarker at the shop.
