Another 68 member

Hello.....My name is Len.....It's cold and snow up north here in Pa so I have time to finally register...I bought my 68 327 4 speed from the original owner more than 25 years ago....It is somewhat of a survivor driver quality of car...the numbers match and I have the pop...I have struggled over the years not to modify it to much...I have managed to keep it mostly original aside from one repaint and some bolt on parts ...I have been hanging out here for a while and this is a great forum and I am glad to be part of it...I will try to add some pics....Thanks Len...

Glad you finally had some time to register

Be aware we're gonna want to see pictures and some of the 'numbers' on your car

What part of PA do you hail from?
Spent lots of time in the Maytown area myself ...

Welcome. Early winter means more projects for the Camaro while garaged. What are your plans?

Welcome to Team Camaro!

Is the engine an L30 or an LF7? Also, got any pix?

67 Camaro: 454/TH400/4.10 12 bolt. Lots of options: PS/PDB/PW, tilt, tach, gauges and more. K-K + 797-Z...

Re: Another 68 member

The engine is the 210 horse 327 with a bay city 2 barrel carb, saganaw 4 speed and 308 10 bolt rear...it has good torque and is fun with the 4 speed....there is a cable attached to the engine and wrapped around the upper a arm on the driver side that was added by the dealer as a factory recall because the engine was breaking engine mounts .....it is a base Camaro with some options such as an interior trim group..exterior trim group....rear mount antenna...full wheel covers(which I have)...at this time I have dog dish caps on it(not repos)...and an ss hood(I have the original hood).....and some other stuff.....Thanks Len

Nice! Engine is the LF7. That close to being an L30/M20...

I'm always tickled to see the different flavors of the GM "Stop Lift" kits hit eBain and other sites - like they're 'collector' items ...
We wrote off and threw about 2~300 hundred of those kits away years ago at a dealer in SoCal because the owners never responded to the 'recall' for install.
Never thought someone would give us $50+ for them or I would have tried to buy them out for pennies
I wonder what a couple of those old Vega Coolant Level recall kits I have are worth

Even the 'little' 210HP 327 has decent performance with just a few mods
I was always pleased with mine.

Love the color combo and stance - smacks of olds-cool street look in the late 60's~early 70's
Oh, I'm old too

Re: Another 68 member

I kid the original owner I bought the car from why for a couple hundred more dollars he didn't check off a couple more option boxes....I was making 1.25 an hour in the 60's so it was a lot of money back then...I like the dog dish caps because they remind me of the baby moons I had on cars in the 60's....so yea I am an old kid too...Len
