New member drive by from Chesapeake, VA

Greetings from Va!

I'm in the process of accidentally restoring a 69 x11, non matching numbers car. She's half apart waiting to get new quarters, floor and trunk pans. Please share your thoughts on pre fabricated jigs. My bodyman brother doesn't want to use a body cart for the replacement of the floor, etc.
Thanks,
Charles

Hey Charles,

Welcome and recommend you Start a Post over in the "Body Shop" Forum right away as these cars were all assembled by hand and it takes a good amount of Skill and the Proper Tools and Equipment to put them back together looking as good as or preferably better than new!

Re: New member drive by from Chesapeake, VA

I bought the car with the intent to drive it but when my brother and I started looking closer we felt it needed a full restoration. He's a body man by trade so it's the only way I'm able to do it.

Okay that makes total sense. Why not start a build thread and post some of the current before, then hopefully a quick series of during and then in time for warm weather cursing afters of your restoration. Notice that I didn't specify an date range or year limitations.

I will. It's taken me decades to get this car, and this far, now I am only limited by how fast or slow it will take my brother and I to finish. My wife is already asking how long? I quickly respond that it'll take time haha! The car is 46 yrs old, she can wait for her makeover. I'll post pics on a new thread once we start.
