Hello Roger...welcome aboard. To post pics, scroll down the page when starting a thread or responding to a post to the "additional options" box. Click on "manage attachments". Have you checked with the various vendors for a correct repo steel hood such as Ricks Camaros, Camaro Central, Classic Industries, Heartbeat City, etc? Good luck on the project!

Ok guys explain this to me like I'm a 2 year old....I'm looking to MIDLEY hop up a mid 80's truck 454 it has low miles and I'm wantin to hurry up n put it n drive now I'm having to tear it down to replace all gaskets n while I had it apart I figure I cud do a couple things to get a lil more hp out of her....now she is bone stock w peanut heads n flat top pistons that are prolly 8:1 all I wna do is swap out cam and heads now the cam I can prolly figure out on my own but the heads I will be shopping for used ones and need help as To what to look for. Now I've been told old school 781's oval port are good but I have no clue when it comes to open chamber or closed chamber.....any help and even pics of what to look for is GREATLTY appreciated. ...also I had someone tell me that 049 heads were just as good and actually found a set cheap but when I found out they were open chamber I was told they were no better than the ones I had cause they wouldn't improve my combustion.....please help in my search and give me several options to choose from....thanks in advance
