Hello from Wisconsin

I have a '67 RS with AC that needs a heater core. I have ordered five cores from various parts houses and the inlet/outlet tubes are positioned differently than the core I removed from my car. Can someone who has been down this road tell me where they have gotten their heater core and it has fit in the heater box as well as the inlet/outlet tubes exited the firewall? Is the aluminum cores as good as the brass/coppers cores? Thank you for any help you can give me. Terry

Re: Hello from Wisconsin

Shoot us a picture of what you have as your vehicle may have been altered by a PO. Small block and Big Block had different configurations for inlet/outlet hoses.

Re: Hello from Wisconsin

Take your old core and have it rebuilt if you can. Most of the Chinese replacement cores are junk.

Re: Hello from Wisconsin

Thank you guys for your input. I ended up taking a new heater core to a radiator shop and they placed the inlet/outlet tubes in the correct position.

Welcome to the best Camaro site on earth.

The original stuff is almost always better and worth fixing if possible.
