New Member from California

I am new to this forum.
I have a factory 1968 327 Camaro, and am looking to start the restore in about 4 weeks.

I have a lot of questions about the car and will post it in a new thread as I don't think anyone looks at the new member intro. Glad to be here and part of the community

Hi Tony,
Welcome to a great forum. I have gotten so many answers on my 69 restore it's amazing!
They will want you to post photos...we all like to see everyone's project.
What kind of restore are you planning?
Also, where in Cal. are you?...I grew up in the Bay Area.
Again, welcome!
John

Searching this site really helped me with my 68 project.
If you don't have it already, get the factory assembly manual. I use it and study it a lot.

Re: New Member from California

Welcome Tony! This is the best place to get any help you may need, and also to motivate yourself by regularly updating your build thread.
Best advice to you would consist of this:
- Have a plan of how you mean to tackle the resto.
- Make a list of everything you think you'll need, and try to obtain as much as possible up front (waiting on deliveries and running low on funds can kill enthusiasm).
- Even if you're not planning a factory-correct resto, document every step and bag/label everything as you remove it (photos help), you never know when you'll need to remember where this went, or how that goes together.....
- Keep positive, sometimes you just need to shut the door on it for a while and come back after doing something different.
Good luck and keep us updated!
