Well thought i would post, don't usually but what the hey,
1st car when i was 16, was 1967 Camaro Super Sport, red with black vinyl top, super great, sold that car,
2nd Car plain jane 1968 painted to look like a z28 black with white stripes, rear ended by a drunk and totaled it
3rd car another plain jane 1968 again painted to look like a z28 black with silver stripes, rear ended by some kids and again totaled
Next rig i bought was a jacked up 1978 chevy 4x4 so if i was rear ended someone would be eating my bumper guess what never rear ended.
Then i got my first new car a 1990 Mustang GT5.0, fun
Then a few 3 series BMW
Then a 2007 M5 with a V10 500HP, sold that now have a 2013 M5 V8 (565 HP), it gets up and goes, also i bought the following 3 years ago:
1969 Z28/RS with original DZ motor/m22 transmission and original rear end, with deluxe interior with houndstooth, the exterior is Cortez Silver with Black stripes. Currently redoing the engine compartment for originality, found a 480 distributor, the original carb came in the trunk, Sent both the carb and distributor to Jerry McNeisch to redo they should be back here this week. I ended up getting a Gardner exhaust system since my car is a early 1969 car Feb 3rd week, i ended up getting the original chambered exhaust system with no resonators, should sound good or loud. In the process of finding a few parts (alternator, starter, brake booster, exhaust manifolds) to make it like it was off the factory line. sorry for the long story but there you go. My goal is to have this thing look brand new like it was off the factory show room floor, all original or as close as possible. The car was sold from Bob Hookes Chevrolet in Kentucky and found its way to Portland sometime over its life.
Oh my 15 year old son is helping me so that is a kick in the pants as well, very fortunate just need to have time to work on it. .
