Talking Hello from the UK

Hi Everyone,

I brought myself a 1968 327 Camaro earlier this year and whilst I am tinkering about with a few bits i have found the forums on Team Camaro really useful so thought I'd better register and join the community.

I live in the UK so there not too many first gen Camaros on these shores so I am looking forward to seeing the conversations on the community from those who love the Camaro as much as me!

Anyone else from the UK in the community?

Paul - Welcome to Team Camaro. We have a few members with sweet first gens in the UK.

What projects are you working on with you 68?

Re: Hello from the UK

Thanks Brian, the previous owner lowered the front end which gave the car a great stance but made the drive a nightmare. I have replaced the springs to return it to its original stance (which I prefer to be honest) so the ride is much smoother.

Next up is to fit rear seat belts so that the family can enjoys days out if we ever get more then a couple of days sun over here!!

Smile Re: Hello from the UK

Hello, I watched a you tube vid about 2 guys that came over from your neck of the woods. They bought a 67 Camaro no engine or trans. The Vid is in SWRNC. "South west rod and customs" If you go on you tube you will have to hunt around to find it. I'll warn you that the maker of the Vid "MY Friend Pete" uses a lot of foul language. If you can get past the F- Bombs and the rest of his temper tantrums he really shows some good techniques to repair and paint your old car. Good luck with your project and post some pic's also.

I've seen some of the South West videos before and agree that he know his stuff and isn't afraid to show his emotions!

I've updated my garage with some pictures of my Camaro, feel free to have a look.

Your Camaro Looks Fantastic. I don't think you need to fix anything.

Have come across a few first gen's in the UK. What city are you in? I spend a fair amount of time outside London in Feltham and in South End.

No, I didn't buy it from the Wheeler Dealer boys but it's a similar colour!

Jackr - I am based in Reading, so only 45 mins from London.
