Greetings. I have been working for quite a few months on getting my fathers 1969 SS running after it sat under blankets in my Mom's garage for almost 30 years. Last night .... success! I am now in need of advice and instruction on how to work on some of the wiring/electrical issues that I will likely encounter. I was lucky to have a great friends help me through the mechanical aspects, but will need to finish the remaining work on my own and plan to get as much information as possible from these forums.

Welcome aboard Michael. These guys know what they're talking about because they have been there and done that. There are no questions too trivial. Ask away.

Welcome Micheal, Nice car,you enjoy driving it. From what I can tell by the pictures there doesn't seem like anything missing from under the hood. The outside color is Silver or Gray with a Black vinyl top? Any problem you can't solve just ask on the forum.

Re: New Member

Welcome, Michael! Don't let the electrical problems scare you..... these cars are pretty basic in the wiring department. A lot of problems can be chased down to bad grounds or a previous owners hack job.

Experience...... It's what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Re: New Member

Thanks for all the notes. The car is cortez silver, blue top and interior. I pulled the motor in July and rebuilt it over the last 3 months. I have only driven the car around the block so far as it is not street ready. The first electrical project is lighting. I need to get the headlights and brake-lights working.
