Hey guys!
My name is Eric and I own a 69 Camaro that I have had since 1984. I have stripped the car down to nothing and going back with a custom retro mod. This is new to me and I really don't know what I am doing. One of my first questions of many is where can I find a true 5/8 stainless braided hose that is not 10an that will fit over barbed fittings on a vintage air evaporator without trying to force the hoses on?

Re: ej69

Eric, Welcome to the club. As for your braided hoses for barbed fittings, I would contact Vintage on this as I am sure high side needs to be clamped good to deal with the pressures. The only thing I can think of in braided hose is for fuel etc. You need the hose that may be lined and for R134. Vintage makes lots of custom stuff . I would start there.

Re: ej69

Eric welcome aboard.

The 10 in 10an means 5/8".

The only 5/8" barbed fittings with the VA system are for the heater hoses.
