I just joined Team Camaro. I may have been a member way back when, but cannot recall.
I am a Rocket Scientist by profession, working with NASA on the next generation space launch vehicle.
I line and work in the Huntsville, Alabama area.
My car interests include old Corvettes, Camaros, and tri-five Chevys.
I used to own a very nice driver quality 69 Camaro SS clone, and a running project 79 Z/28, both were 350 / 4 speed cars. I wish I still had them.
A few years ago my doctor(s) told me that me wrench turning days were over. I ignored that advice for about a year, and I paid for it.
So, I sold off all of my old project cars but one, and bought a get in it and drive Corvette.
I have a 2004 Corvette convertible (2 owner) with 19K miles.
I also still have a 56 Bel Air 4 door sedan, 3 owner, 76K miles, bought new in Huntsville, AL. I just sent the car to a shop for paint and the "heavy lifting" part of a driver quality restoration.
This is most likely my last serious project car.
I am also an avid automotive and US military decoration historian and researcher. I love digging out the facts of history, and I freely share what I find.
I am so looking forward to participating in this forum.
