Hello All

Glad to have found you. I saw this site promoted in RockAuto's newsletter.

I have a 69 vert in pieces in my garage. Hope to one day have the time and money necessary to make it a driver.

Thanks for the great forum.

Welcome Lane - So how many pieces is she in?

Even with no money you can make progress even if it is just organizing or assembling as many sub assemblies as you can.

No pics currently.

Most of the removed pieces are interior parts.

She's got no top and mostly no interior. That will all have to be new.

The convertible top frame has minor damage. Don't know if it's okay as is, needs repair, or a new frame is in order.

The convertible top pump is good, but one of the lift cylinders leaks.

The engine (307 V8) is in good shape and runs well. Would like to add fuel injection (Holley or FAST.)

Transmission (4 speed) is okay, but a rebuild wouldn't hurt it. A six-speed would be awesome (and expensive.)

Front suspension is in good shape, but sure wish it would handle better than a 69 Chevy.

Rear springs are sagging.

The brakes need at best a refresher, and probably new calipers in front and assorted pieces in rear.

Electrically, probably needs a new harness.

Body has minor dings and rust. Floorpan needs rear footwells replaced.

Not roadworthy right now, but it runs till warm up about once a month.

I hope to be working on her again in the spring. If my other cars would just stop breaking down.
