Question New Member seeking advice

Hello My name is Holly and I live in New Hampshire and honestly I joined this group seeking some advice. Here is my situation, my husbands mother was recently moved into an assisted living facility, the house he grew up in is being sold and apparently he has had a bunch of parts from a 1969 Camaro SS stored in her attic since about 1990 and he has put me in charge of figuring out what they are worth and selling them. I have been doing a lot of selling on ebay and craigslist, but this is really not my area. I know that it is difficult for anyone to determine the value of these parts without seeing them for yourself so I am really just trying to get a ballpark idea of their value as there are very few original parts out there to compare to, so if any one is willing to help I would really appreciate hearing from you. The parts we have are: both complete doors (handles, knobs, window crank, glass, interior, molding), Trunk Lid, The vented piece that goes above the hood where the windshield wipers go (sorry I do not know what you call it), All 4 Center Caps, Both front and rear bumpers, center console with gauges for a auto trans, and the gas cap. All of these parts are original GM, VG+ with no bondo repairs. Thanks

Well as in anything on-line a picture speaks a thousand words as to condition. For most of these parts front, back and sides with clarity enough to determine condition is a great way to market the parts. Start a thread for each part in our classifieds forum and see what you get.

Re: New Member seeking advice

Welcome Holly, Out of your list the the part that stand out the most are the console with gauges. The factory gauges, if in VG condition will be worth the most in the multiple $100s. Completed ebay auctions for the same part is a very good indicator of value, but the big parts will be tougher to ship. Luck!

Re: New Member seeking advice

Welcome, Holly, and as suggested, pictures are good.
Unfortunately, you will only be able to post three pictures due to the minimal amount of posts you have - one of the rules here.
Once pictures taken, you should download to your PC and use Paint for reducing size, aka, pixel size of 800X640 is good, or try 1000 pixel size as Paint will adjust accordingly, then select SAVE.
Then you can use the 'Drag and Drop' feature in the Advanced section.
Good luck.
