Based on the Cowl Tag shown, this is just a standard RS. You would need to have a 4P, 4N or 4K. Take a look at this site:

Camaro VIN, Cowl Tag, and other Numbers Decoding

1967 RS/SS Vert (non matching)

The rivets indicate the tag was off the car at some point, so all bets are off.

I would think if one were to fake it they would use the correct rivets. Tag looks legit.

Yup. Obviously the tag has been off the car, so who knows if it is actually the original tag for this car, or from a totally different car. If you are happy with the car, just enjoy it.
