Hello!

Bad news. My father in law passed away. Good news he loved old camaros. So am trying to learn about his 68 Camaro Z28. He kept everything, so I have car parts galore, a lot from late 60s -early 70s. Many from Camaros I think. Am trying to learn about what belongs to what. Hope to get into some threads that can guide me. Thanks!

Re: Hello!

Welcome from Fort Erie and my condolences about your father-in-law.

The best way to learn about your Camaro is to drive it. Judging by the palm trees in the photo, you probably don't have to put it away for the winter. Read the owners manual and have a plan for doing the recommended scheduled maintenance.

Re: Hello!

Thanks! No winters to worry about in Tampa FL area. The car was tucked in a garage for 30 years and requires some significant service before it could be started and driven.

Re: Hello!

Dan - condolences to you and your family for the loss of your Father in-law. Sounds like he took good care of his Z over the years. Was he a member here at Team Camaro?

Re: Hello!

Thanks Brian. Donít think he was a Team Camaro member. He was a rough mason man that wasnít really tech savvy. He did show the car a lot in the past. Had an inetrnational show car membership. Was in a magazine article and has lots of trophies from those days. Iím going to upgrade my membership so I can share more photos.

Is there a mechanism to connect parts to classic car owners? I would hate to get rid of something that would be an important puzzle piece to someone. My pops had 7 Muncie transmissions in the garage! One I think is from a 68 Olds 442. Would hate to not get it connected to an owner.
