Hello from Vancouver Island!

Been lurking for a while, tried to post an intro last night but it didn't seem to show up so I'll try again

Been interested in 1st Gen Camaros as long as I can remember. My first was a 67 and my last was a 69 ragtop.

Don't have any pics of the 67 on my computer but here's one of the 68 I restored around 2001 (just finished doing the paint, still had a bit more trim to go on) and my 69 6 cyl car.

In between I had a few other distractions as well

Anyway happy to be here if my posts will show up, thanks.

Re: Hello from Vancouver Island!

Welcome Bob. Not sure why you couldn't post last night but glad you did the repeat. As an "non-supporting" aka free member you only have enough storage space to post a profile pic or two.
The file management lists the size limits per file type, maybe the photo you were trying was way too large which seem to be the case these days. As cameras have gotten better, mobile devices have gotten worse at being able to display. Its a racquet because the providers throttle down your bandwidth, but don't ever reduce the cost of it and the content providers want to stream higher quality stuff, the result is you eat up your data, pay through the nose for overages while your phone in the end reduces the quality to fit and display. 640 by 480 is still the internet standard for photographs.

As a "Probie" (registered member with less than ten posts) you can not post links to off shore sites. This is done to prevent bots and spammers from flooding the site with fake Viagra links and malware and viruses. One you have ten posts under your belt the restriction is lifted and you can post links to your off site image share if you like.

So get posting! Actually you can easily eat up nine posts here in the welcome wagon.

Brian

Re: Hello from Vancouver Island!

Sure, you did successfully post a welcome last night, and attached a photo. https://www.camaros.net/forums/67-ne...arrassing.html

You might just have your forum display filter set to only show current date postings, scroll to the bottom left of the new members forum and look at the filter, you can change it to a wide variety of dates in the pull-down, last month or from the beginning of time are popular settings, last day is far too restrictive IMHO especially during the slow summer months.

In your user control panel bottom left you can see all your attachments.

Re: Hello from Vancouver Island!

Thanks! I really like black, burgundy and silver too but somehow I seem to end up with red a lot.

Here's a few more I've owned over the years

The 68 and the yellow 57 were built and painted by me
