New member first post

Hello everyone, I just created my account and I thought I would make a post with my current build. I have a 69 Camaro SS that I plucked out of a friend's pasture a little over a year ago. So far, I have gotten the rust off, (except the quarters and around the front/rear glass), seam sealed, replaced the floor/trunk pan and dash (a friend did most of the welding and taught me along the way), undercoated with bedliner, put a 9 inch rear end in, got a subframe off a nova (subframe, leaf springs and rear end powder coated black), CPP tubular control arms, drop springs in front, shocks, disc brakes all the way around (still need plumbed), front sway bar and tie rods / center link (together but not in the car yet).

I also have a 350 SBC sitting on a stand patiently waiting its turn to be installed.

It will need quarters, around the front and rear glass repaired, full interior and a front clip-- aside from the obvious things I didn't mention.

Wow, sounds like a lot in a year when I actually typed it all out. Bummer, I tried uploading a few old and current pics, but it says they are too big to post. Maybe because I'm a free member at the moment?

Anyway, I look forward to learning from you guys!!

Exclamation Re: New member first post

Hello and welcome - insert first name here -! Sounds like you are well on your way with your project. When you get a second please finish your profile with location and first name. They create a signature with the specs of your project so we can offer help without endless back and forth as to what size engine, transmission, common options etc. You can also post a link in your signature to an off site photo share if you have one.

As to photos in general, as a non-supporting aka "Free" member you have just enough photo storage space to upload a photo or two of your ride for your profile page. That you can do now.

As a Probationer level member you have to have ten posts before you can post any off-site links. We do this to prevent the one and done spammers from creating an account then spamming us and never logging in again. After ten as a "Free" member you can use image tags to post photos of your project from off-shore storage sites. If you become a supporting member aka paid, you get on site storage and other benefits as explained here: The one-time Gold membership fee is by far the best option.

Consider creating a build thread in that section of the forums to document your project start to finish.

Again welcome to Team Camaro. We look forward to your progress.
