Hey! I’ve finally made an account here, but I’ve been lurking on all the troubleshooting posts since I’ve owned my car 😂

I am a proud, recent owner of a ‘68 Camaro. Bought the car during my internship in California over the summer and shipped it home to Hawaii (the salty air is murdering it). It has some rust and I’m in the process of doing a frame-off restoration. I’m not interested it restoring it to factory settings, nor do I care so much about originality. It’s not even numbers-matching.

It’s been such a fun street rod so far, I threw in a 385 stroker a couple weeks ago. I’m having some troubles with it so I can’t wait to make a troubleshooting post later haha.

P.S. I had to compress the image by A LOT, so I could post it. Wish the image upload reqs weren’t so strict, huge bummer.

Welcome, Jamien, to the Club and correct year.
Enjoy the new chapter and good luck with the restoration - take plenty of pictures for future reference.
They are invaluable as we can't remember everything forever. Ask others here.

Reduce picture size with Paint program.

I second that. I can't even tell you how many times I've had leftover parts or had to tear everything down again because I didn't do this. That, and label everything!

Also, love the curves on the 67-68's Good luck on your resto!

Welcome to the site! I was stationed at Kaneohe back in the mid 80s.

Reminds me:
I wrote:

Sixty-seven's are a good attempt and a good learning platform - a doable year.
Sixty-eight's are perfect design, GM got it correct. Look at the body at any angle and compared to a female body nice shape - the rear quarters are nice well-rounded hips, a slim waist line, and powerful upper body - any one of James Bond women, Pussy Galore comes to mind, Ann Margaret, Raquel Welch - exquisitely shaped for the time period of design.
Sixty-nine's with the gills looks like cellulite along with the flat wheel opening looking like extra weight.
